Storybird Update
Hi all! So I have just learned that I have a limit to the number of students that I can add to my teacher account on Storybird. If the log-in we discussed in class doesn't work for you, create your own account and then just email me the link to your story!

Tech options for your project
Not excited by many of the activities on the project menu? Looking for something a little more 21st century? Here are a couple sites you could use to create part of your project!
http://www.xtranormal.com/ - A movie-making site...the integer movie I posted below was made here! You could adapt the play option on your menu and use this tool.
storybird.com - A book-making site. See mine here: http://storybird.com/books/three-of-a-kind-fractions-decimals-percents/ This tool could be used for the children's book option on your menu.
http://www.puzzlemaker.com/ - Gives you the option to create a crossword puzzle...much easier than making it by hand! Just make sure to read the directions carefully about how to enter in your answers and clues.
http://www.readwritethink.org/files/resources/interactives/flipbook/ - Lets you make a flipbook online and then print it out. You can type in fractions and decimals and draw examples of them as well!
Got another cool site? Share it in the comments!

Thursday's Class - 12/1
Our Goal:
Use online resources for math learning!
Do Now:
What do you think of Study Island? Is it something you will use outside of class?
Homework:
Mountain Math is due TOMORROW at the beginning of class...don't forget!!
Agenda:
1) Daily Routines - Complete your Do Now paper using the information above!
2) Finish any assignments on the textbook site.
3) Log in to Study Island
- You will see a different page than yesterday - if there are assignments to complete, do them! (They are your decimal operation quiz retake.)
- Once you finish any decimal operation work, make sure that you have completed the pre-test for Math - 2012 Assessment (see yesterday's post for details).
- Otherwise, complete activities of your choice to earn blue ribbons for extra credit. I recommend choosing topics we've already covered!
